We haven’t heard much from Angela Merkel – or Emmanuel Macron for that matter – in about a year. The now-forgotten Chemnitz riots went down in Germany not long before the Yellow Vests started up.

Italian Deputy Prime Minister and anti-immigration leader Matteo Salvini has fired back after German Chancellor Angela Merkel claimed she wouldn’t let his party work with her in the European Parliament.
The two clashed just a week before the European elections.
“We don’t want to stand with people who have ruined Europe for all these years,” Salvini replied to Merkel’s dismissal of his anti-immigrant League party. In an interview with the Italian newspaper La Stampa, Angela Merkel excluded the possibility of an alliance between any right-wing and anti-establishment party with her center-right European People’s Party (EPP).
Salvini might be the only politician in the West with any credibility at all.
He proves that you can have Trump’s powerful and unapologetic rhetoric, but also not be a shameless huckster.
Not only has Salvini ended mass African migration into Italy, but he’s busy creating some sort of right-wing coalition in Europe.
Merkel’s harsh words didn’t upset Italy’s new anti-immigrant leader. Salvini had never expressed a wish to ally with the German chancellor. Instead, he had invited the Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban, who is strongly opposed to Merkel’s open-border policy, to be part of the Europe of Nations and Freedom (ENF) right wing group in the European Parliament.
It would be bizarre to include Macron and Merkel in that coalition, even though both of these leaders are ostensibly not left-wing. Furthermore, I don’t know what a coalition like this in the European Parliament would even accomplish. The European Parliament has no actual power.
It would be far more helpful to fund the Yellow Vests and provide them safe haven in Italy so that they can stage their protests and retreat across the border if the French police come after them.
Overthrowing Macron and Merkel would be far more useful than a coalition of conservatives in the European Parliament. It wouldn’t even take much. Just give favorable media coverage to popular protests like the Yellow Vests, give them funds so that they take to the street during the weekdays when it actually matters and maybe train them up a bit so they stop making stupid decisions.
Or just send in the Italian special forces.
Undercover or otherwise.
I understand that Salvini isn’t even running the country yet and still has to consolidate his power in Italy with a new domestic conservative coalition.
But when he’s ready for the primetime, he should run on the pledge to aggressively undermine GloboHomo in neighboring European countries by giving material aid to destabilization efforts. After that, he’s only a hop and a skip away from becoming the new Emperor of Europe.
And all will be right with the world again.
