The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office has confirmed they have arrested a second person in connection to the murder of a 17-year-old York County teen.
York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office posted on their Facebook page on Feb. 4 they arrested 20-year-old Tevin D. Lambert of Newport News on Feb. 3. Lambert was charged with conspiracy to commit robbery in connection with the murder of Dylan Peters.
This arrest comes weeks after a 17-year-old male was charged with second degree murder, attempted robbery and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony in connection to Peters’ death.
Peters was shot several times inside his home on Jan. 27. Deputies confirmed there was a conversation between Peters and a suspect at the front door of the home. Then there was a struggle when Peters tried to close the door. Authorities said several shots were then fired through the front door. Peters was rushed to a nearby hospital where he passed away.
