Several Suspects – All of Them Black – Arrested for Murder of White Man

Harold Collins was shot and killed inside his coin shop.

Monroe Police have arrested several suspects wanted for a murder from last July.

The suspects are identified as Ivory Jenkins, Rendarious Golden, Jamar Harris and Tamara Stewart.

Business owner Harry Collins was robbed and shot inside his coin shop on Hudson lane in May of 2014.

Police say the male suspects are accused of robbing and shooting Collins and Tamara Stewart acted as the getaway driver.

Harris and Jenkins were both already serving time for different charges when they were arrested and charged in Collins’ death.

Detectives say Jenkins involvement in a previous shooting, helped detectives solve this case.

“They’re kind of connected and the point I wanted to make is all of our homicides that we’ve had last year and this year they’ve all been acquainted type homicides, whether it’s domestic violence or friends, relatives. It hasn’t been random victims” said Chief Quentin Holmes.

Jamar Harris is just one of four primitives arrested for the killing.

“We have traveled through the northern part of the state and have obtained enough information and secure testimony of people involved where all four subjects seen…there are warrants for there arrests for second degree murder, conspiracy to commit murder on Mr. Harold Collins” said Det. Mike Fendall.

Jenkins is also charged in the death of Casey Williams.
