Apparently, a Malaysian passenger jet just crashed in the Ukriane.
A Malaysian passenger airliner with 295 people on board crashed in Ukraine near the Russian border, Interfax cited an aviation industry source as saying on Thursday.
It said the Boeing plane was flying from Amsterdam to Kuala Lumpur. Reuters could not immediately confirm the Interfax report.
Something very weird could be going on here.
They may try and claim that “rebels” shot down the plane, and use this as a pretext to escalate the war there.
Or maybe this is yet another example of Malaysian aviation incompetence.
UPDATE:
They are now saying it was shot down.
This is possible, I suppose, but I am thinking it is rather likely it is some type of Jew scheme.
UPDATE II:
Reuters is saying it was brought down by a ground-to-air missile, with all passengers and crew dead. Interfax says it was 20 miles from the Russian border.
It’s happening.
UPDATE III:
RT:
Groups that are fighting Kiev’s forces in eastern Ukraine have rejected any involvement in the incident, as there are reports that the plane was shot down.
The Donetsk People’s Republic claims its self-defense forces simply don’t have such military equipment.
It said its self-defense forces just don’t have such military equipment.
Russia’s military also says none of its military planes have been flying close to the Russia-Ukraine border on Thursday, RIA Novosti reported citing a military official.
Residents have reported about finding debris from a plane, which they say could belong to the Malaysian Boeing. They also said no bodies have been seen, RIA Novosti reports.
Meanwhile, the Ukrainian government is ordering an investigation, apparently implying the “rebels” are responsible.
This could start WWIII, whether or not the Russian-backed forced did it or not.
UPDATE IV:
Video.
Also, the “government” of the Ukraine has officially come out and blamed rebels.
I don’t want to be some crazy alarmist posting happening pictures and saying were doomed, but are you guys seeing a way in which this doesn’t set off a world war?
I’m having a hard time.
UPDATE V:
The black Chief is on it:
Obama is heading to Delaware and to New York today to talk about the American economy but will also be dealing with is looking like a full-blown international crisis.
He ignored questions from reporters about the Malaysian plane as he walked to his helicopter on the South Lawn of the White House this morning.
Here’s what he said last night about Russian activities in Ukraine:
Along with our allies, with whom I’ve been coordinating closely the last several days and weeks, I’ve repeatedly made it clear that Russia must halt the flow of weapons and fighters across the border into Ukraine; that Russia must urge separatists to release their hostages and support a cease-fire; that Russia needs to pursue internationally-mediated talks and agree to meaningful monitors on the border.
NATO is going to be in the Ukraine by nightfall, I’d say. Then it will go from there.
