UPDATE II:

Okay, well, Wikipedia says that after divorcing the kike, he married a Greek and got sober and converted to Christianity.

Wikipedia:

Cornell was first married to Susan Silver, the manager of Alice in Chains and Soundgarden.[125] They had a daughter, Lillian Jean, born in June 2000. He and Silver divorced in 2004.[125] In December 2008, Cornell reported via his official website that he had finally won back his collection of 15 guitars after a four-year court battle with Silver.

His second marriage was to Vicky Karayiannis, a Paris-based American publicist of Greek heritage. The couple had a daughter together, Toni, born in September 2004, and a son, Christopher Nicholas, born in December 2005. Cornell converted to the Greek Orthodox Church through her influence.

When asked how Cornell beat all his addictions he stated, “It was a long period of coming to the realization that this way (sober) is better. Going through rehab, honestly, did help … it got me away from just the daily drudgery of depression and either trying to not drink or do drugs or doing them and you know, they give you such a simple message that any idiot can get and it’s just over and over, but the bottom line is really, and this is the part that is scary for everyone, the individual kinda has to want it … not kinda, you have to want it and to not do that crap anymore or you will never stop and it will just kill you.”

In a 2011 interview, Cornell said the major change with the reformed Soundgarden is a lack of alcohol: “The biggest difference I noticed … and we haven’t even really talked about it: There are no bottles of Jack Daniel’s around or beers. And we never talked about … it’s just not there.”

So I guess the suicide was more related to just being a tortured soul than anything else. The kind that plays the kind of music he played.

Grudge rock is a fascinating phenomenon, which I am not aware of having ever been written about from a right-wing perspective.

It was the first type of popular music with an extremely negative message. Like, the most negative message even possible: “we’re fucked” – that was the message.

But it wasn’t nihilistic, in the sense of “nothing has any meaning.” The tone was “something is being lost or taken from us.”

Young people, in an age of great material abundance, had lost all hope.

That’s what happens when you kill religion and try to replace it with objects made of plastic.

When I was 10, Kurt Cobain died. During that period of my childhood, the music was everywhere. No one really thinks about how much music affects people during their years of childhood development.

As I wrote recently, the John McCain op-ed against Tillerson, calling for the world to be invaded, was basically just John Lennon’s “imagine” in essay format.

“Smells Like Teen Spirit” was the most iconic song of that era, and it definitely sums it up.

Load up on guns, bring your friends
It’s fun to lose and to pretend
She’s over bored and self assured
Oh no, I know a dirty word

Hello, hello, hello, how low? [x3] Hello, hello, hello!

With the lights out, it’s less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido
Yeah, hey, yay

I’m worse at what I do best
And for this gift I feel blessed
Our little group has always been
And always will until the end

Hello, hello, hello, how low? [x3] Hello, hello, hello!

With the lights out, it’s less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido
Yeah, hey, yay

And I forget just why I taste
Oh yeah, I guess it makes me smile
I found it hard, it’s hard to find
Oh well, whatever, never mind

Hello, hello, hello, how low? [x3] Hello, hello, hello!

With the lights out, it’s less dangerous
Here we are now, entertain us
I feel stupid and contagious
Here we are now, entertain us
A mulatto
An albino
A mosquito
My libido

A song from a much less popular band, but which I remember very well (it definitely got played a lot) was Local H’s “Bound for the Floor.”

Born to be down
I’ve learned all my lessons before now
Born to be down
I think you’ll get used to it

And you just don’t get it
You keep it copacetic
And you learn to accept it
You know it’s so pathetic

Born to be down
I think that I’ve said this before now
Born to be down
What good is confidence?

And you just don’t get it
You keep it copacetic
And you learn to accept it
You know it’s so pathetic
And you don’t

Soundgarden’s #1 hit, “Black Hole Sun” (already embedded below) had similarly prescient lyrics.

In my eyes, indisposed
In disguises no one knows
Hides the face, lies the snake
The sun in my disgrace
Boiling heat, summer stench
‘Neath the black the sky looks dead
Call my name through the cream
And I’ll hear you scream again

Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (won’t you come)

Stuttering, cold and damp
Steal the warm wind tired friend
Times are gone for honest men
And sometimes far too long for snakes
In my shoes, a walking sleep
And my youth I pray to keep
Heaven sent hell away
No one sings like you anymore

Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come

Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)

Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)

Hang my head, drown my fear
Till you all just disappear

Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come

Black hole sun
Won’t you come
And wash away the rain
Black hole sun
Won’t you come
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come (black hole sun, black hole sun)
Won’t you come
Won’t you come

I have no idea how this music being everywhere when I was a child affected my personal development, but it obviously must have in some way. I’ve just never thought about it.

And honestly, I don’t even know if the affect would have been negative. At least the tone of the music was “we’ve been fucked” rather than “fuck it.”

At the same time, it wasn’t a rebellion against anything – it was just a relating of an experience.

And that is what the 90s were, really – the chickens of the sixties revolutions coming home to roost.

The music was entirely white, and unlike jazz, rock ‘n roll, metal, punk, rap, etc., it wasn’t simply a creation of Jewish music producers, it was a natural thing that happened, and which the industry embraced because it so popular (and it was negative, suicide music anyway, so why wouldn’t Jews want to sell it to kids?)

Anyway, I’ll save it for an essay, which needs written at some point. After I’ve done… a whole bunch of other things.

Plus, when I’m a little bit less stressed and actually able to sit and listen to the shit.

Right now, I just listen to College-tier synthwave (can’t do Kavinsky-tier) and K-Pop/J-Pop.

All other music is either shit or too depressing.

Listening to 50-60-70s music that isn’t depressing depresses me because it reminds me that everything didn’t used to be quite as vile as it is now.

UPDATE:

This proved a popular discussion topic. Lots of comments.

It turns out, he killed himself.

Washington Post:

Chris Cornell, a key figure in the grunge rock movement as the banshee-voiced singer in the seminal Seattle band Soundgarden, killed himself in a hotel room after playing a Wednesday night concert with the group, authorities said.

Cornell, 52, was found dead early Thursday in his room at the MGM Grand Detroit, police said. The Wayne County Medical Examiner’s Office ruled his death as suicide by hanging. A full autopsy report has not been completed, the medical examiner said in a statement.

A family friend had called 911 around midnight after finding Cornell unresponsive on the bathroom floor at the hotel, police said. Cornell was pronounced dead a short time later.

“His wife Vicky and family were shocked to learn of his sudden and unexpected passing,” Brian Bumbery, a publicist for Cornell, said in a statement. The singer’s family, Bumbery said, “would like to thank his fans for their continuous love and loyalty and ask that their privacy be respected at this time.”

I’d just assumed he had a heart attack from years of cocaine usage, or an exploded liver from years of mixing opioids with alcohol.

But suicide goes even further to prove my point: money, fame and women do not lead to personal fulfillment.

What leads to personal fulfillment for men are the obvious things: meaningful work and family.

Being a washed-up grunge rocker singing the same songs you’ve been singing for 25 years every night is not meaningful work.

And he was married to some kike producer whom he divorced.

Original Article follows.

Once again friends, an unlimited supply of drugs and women does not for a happy life make.

This is yet another Jewish lie.

RT:

Musician Chris Cornell, 52, died in Detroit on Wednesday night. The ‘Soundgarden’ and ‘Audioslave’ lead singer’s death was “sudden and unexpected,” according to a statement from his representative.

The statement said his family was working closely with the medical examiner to determine the cause of death.

Born in Seattle, Washington in 1964, Cornell formed ‘Soundgarden’ alongside guitarist Kim Thyail and bassist Hiro Yamamoto in 1984. In 1988 they signed with A&M, becoming the first grunge band to sign with a major label.

Cornell was a contemporary of other famous grunge icons such as Kurt Cobain from Nirvana and Eddie Vedder from Pearl Jam.

Cornell was on stage Wednesday performing with ‘Soundgarden’ at the Fox Theatre Detroit. Images of the show were posted on Twitter by the venue. He also tweeted before the show of his excitement of performing.

Cornell can be seen performing on stage in a video posted from the crowd. One comment posted from the show said “Chris Cornell needed to rest his war torn vocal cords.”

The musician was touring with ‘Soundgarden’ and had a number of tour dates scheduled, including Columbus, Ohio on Friday.

That really sucks because I had tickets and I’m not sure I’m even going to be able to get a refund.

lol no I’m just joking. I would never go see Soundgarden lol.

I wouldn’t be caught dead at a Soundgarden concert. I’m sure Chris Cornell made a similar pledge though lol.

Pretty sure no one wants to die in Detroit either. Jeez.

Let this be a sign to the Alt-Lite: you are never bringing back the 1990s. They are dead forever.

The only way forward is forward: WHITE SHARIA and space marine death squads.

Anyway, here’s the one song I remember.

Mostly I just remember watching the video when I was 9-years-old. It was sort of like a prophecy video of what America would turn into.

They were no Nirvana, that’s for sure… or Pearl Jam.
