A couple were assaulted during an attack on their Theoville, Vanderbijlpark smallholding in Gauteng. Three black men attacked the 66-year-old man and his 58-year-old wife during the early hours of Monday.
According to col. Lungelo Dlamini, provincial spokesperson for the police, the couple were brutally assaulted with a blunt object. Both were admitted to hospital.
The attackers fled in the couple’s vehicle, but it was found abandoned close to the victims’ home.
