One person has died after a shooting off of Highway 301 in the Tall Pines community of Dillon County near Smith Road and Second Baptist Church.
Jamel Rasun Dow, 28, of Hamer was arrested and charged with murder after allegedly shooting and killing a woman on Queen Court in Hamer on Friday, according to Captain Cliff Arnette with the Dillon County Sheriff’s Office.
The Dillon County Coroner Donnie Grimsley says the victim has been identified as 24-year-old Ashley Blackman. She died as a result of the gunshot wound.
