A 37-year-old man has been booked into Douglas County Jail in connection with the fatal shooting outside a gas station Sunday morning.
Antwan D. Lovejoy has been booked on suspicion of first-degree murder, use of a firearm to commit a felony and possession of a firearm by a prohibited person in the death of Andrew Peek, 27.
Peek was fatally shot about 6 a.m. Sunday outside the Bucky’s gas station at 30th and Dodge Streets. He was found between gas pumps and taken to the Nebraska Medical Center, where he died.
The assailant took Peek’s gold Nissan Maxima, which was recovered later in the day.
