So, it’s been two weeks – how is everyone doing?
Last week I was a bit disappointed with the comments, wherein people were saying “yeah, I’m doing great, only breaking the rules twice a day.”
The whole point of the challenge is that it is a challenge, and that you are meant to see what you are capable of, how well you will do without being exposed to these foods. By cheating the challenge, you are only cheating yourself.
It is also a virtue to be able to exert self-control to better yourself, to hold yourself accountable to yourself. This is how honor works. We grew up in an honorless society, so I am not blaming anyone for not understanding the concept, but it should be learned. It is something we should seek after.
In this sense, even if you do the 30 days and decide the benefits of the diet don’t outweigh the costs of not being able to enjoy delicious cheese danishes, you will still have bettered yourself by challenging yourself. This is not a trifling matter.
So, give a report.
Also, yes, veganism does shrink your brain. In fact, our brains have been shrinking ever since the dawn of agriculture, when we stopped eating the paleo diet.
