A gang member who gunned down an innocent teenager after mistaking him for a rival has been jailed for at least 30 years, it can be revealed.

Nathan Deacon, a senior figure in the ‘Roadside Gs’, shot student Nana Darko-Frempong, 18, dead just for being on enemy territory.

Student Nana Darko-Frempong, 18, was blasted in the stomach and face just for being ‘in the wrong place at the wrong time’.

The 26 year-old was convicted of the murder earlier this year but could not be named because he was facing another trial on gun charges.

Deacon and his older brother Tafari, 28, recruited junior gang members Timothy Dawson, 20 and Josiah Wilson, 21, to purchase and transport guns into London from Luton six months after the killing.
