Stupid Back and Forth Between Iran and The White House

The Iran-Trump situation is uncomfortable for me.

Even during the campaign, this was the case. It was the one odd thing out.

Trump’s domestic agenda was great, his Russia and Syria policies were great (back then he was aggressively anti-Saudi) – but he kept talking about Iran, like they were some bad guy.

Right now, the whole situation is a complete mess from every angle, but I know these two things:

  1. My President is domestically under siege by vicious Jews because he is attempting to establish peaceful relations with Russia, something which would entirely change the course of human history.
  2. Iran did nothing wrong in the Middle East, and Persians and Levant Shiites should be running Mecca, Medina and Jerusalem.

So, this is a fight I’ve no dog in… or perhaps it’s a fight I’ve got both my dogs in – can I do that metaphor?

RT:

Iran’s foreign minister has branded condolences sent by the White House over recent Tehran attacks as “repugnant.” The US administration sent sympathies to Iran, but lectured that “states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.”

“Repugnant White House statement … as Iranians counter terrorism backed by US clients. Iranian people reject such US claims of friendship,” Zarif tweeted.

At least 13 people died and dozens were injured in gun and bomb attacks at the Iranian parliament and Ayatollah Khomeini’s shrine in Tehran on Wednesday. The attacks were claimed by Islamic state (IS, formerly ISIS/ISIL), said Amaq news agency, which is affiliated with the terrorists.

On Wednesday evening, the White House sent condolences to Iran, including the controversial cautionary note.

“We grieve and pray for the innocent victims of the terrorist attacks in Iran, and for the Iranian people, who are going through such challenging times,” the White House said in a statement. “We underscore that states that sponsor terrorism risk falling victim to the evil they promote.”

So yeah.

Gotta say it.

Iran is in the right here. Stupid, rude statements by the White House.

If Iran is “sponsoring terrorism,” then who is it? Which group? What does this claim even mean? It is never elaborated on.

The only thing they can do is claim that Hezbollah and Hamas are “terrorist groups,” which they don’t actually do, because it is obviously stupid. Instead they just continually talk vaguely about Iran “sponsoring terrorism.” More in-depth outlets like the NYT – which no one really even reads, besides pretentious pricks who have less ability to distinguish reality from fiction than the average Fox News viewer – will give a complex explanation as to how Iranians are stupid and evil for some other reason no normal person would even think about.

Anyway.

Some updates on the Iranian response.

Brigadier General Hossein Salami, IRGC deputy commander, vowed to “take revenge” for the attacks.

“Let there be no doubt that we will take revenge for today’s attacks in Tehran, on terrorists, their affiliates and their supporters,” he said, Mehr news agency reported.

Saudi Arabia’s foreign minister, Adel Al-Jubeir, rejected Tehran’s accusations.

“We condemn terrorist attacks anywhere they occur and we condemn the killing of the innocent anywhere it occurs,” Jubeir said.

According to the director of the Crisis Research Institute, Mark Almond, it is highly possible IS was, as it claims, behind the attacks in Iran as the group is interested in stirring up a Sunni-Shiite conflict. However, other groups and regional player involvement can’t be ruled out, he added.

“ISIS has an interest in stirring up a Sunni-Shiite conflict. Iran is the major Shia power in the Muslim world, and there are big tensions between Iran and its Sunni neighbors – particularly Saudi Arabia,” he told RT.

Middle East expert Catherine Shakdam told RT that she is confident there is “more than a connection” between the attacks and Saudi Arabia.

“We have to stop tiptoeing around the idea that Saudi Arabia has nothing to do with ISIS. If anything ISIS is the weapon that Saudi Arabia has wielded around the world to promote its agenda. ISIS has bred on Wahhabism. Wahhabism is the state religion of Saudi Arabia,” she said.

Well, a top Saudi official warned Iran that they would be “punished” two hours before the attack.

And whatever the case, ISIS would not exist without the backing of Saudi Arabia.

Remember when campaign Trump would say that all the time?

And then one time went so far as to hint that Israel was also funding them?

It was on Morning Joe back in December of 2015.

Donald: Right now, you have things going on, you have so called people that you think are on our side, they’re not reporting it, they’re not talking about it, and in some cases they’re involved with it. I mean look: I’ll give you an example. Some of our so-called allies that we work with and that we protect militarily, they are sending massive amounts of money to ISIS and to al-Queda and to others.

Joe: So, who are you talking about there?

Donald: You know who it is. What do I have to bring it up for? You know who it is.

Joe: Because you’re running for President. Are you talking about the Saudis?

Donald: Joe. Hey Joe. Other countries are giving massive amounts of money. People from other countries are giving massive amounts of money.

Joe: So are you saying the Saudis are doing this?

Donald: Of course they’re doing it. Everybody knows that.

Joe: Okay, any other countries?

Donald:
There are, but I’m not gonna say it, because I have a lot of relationships with people. But there are. And you know that. And everybody knows that. And nobody says it. Nobody talks about it.

Joe: You aren’t even saying the countries that are doing it right now. Why aren’t you willing to name those – you say you have a lot of releationships –

Donald: Hey Joe. Joe. All you have to do is check your records. Our government knows the countries.

“Of course they’re doing it. Everybody knows that.”

Our goal is to get back campaign Trump.

And a lot of him is coming back.

There is a war going on behind the scenes, and he is fighting for us.

That is something which is happening.

Ultimately, I think it’s all in or all out – either President Trump goes full Campaign Trump (minus the Iran nonsense, hopefully), or the whole thing collapses, he gets impeached, and somehow, for some reason no one in the media is able to explain but everyone in the media agrees is a great thing, Jared Kushner stays on as an advisor to President Pence.
