A Syracuse woman was shot and killed Sunday by her boyfriend, Syracuse police said.
Sarah Tombs, 22, of 325 Village Dr., was fatally shot Sunday afternoon by her boyfriend, Darien Shellman, said Sgt. Matthew Malinowski, a spokesman for the police department.
Officers responded to the apartment at 325 Village Dr., near Shop City, at about 4:58 p.m. for a shooting with injuries-type call, which was later found to be a homicide, Malinowski said.
Officers found Tombs with a gunshot wound and she was pronounced dead at the scene. Tombs lived at the residence with her 4-year-old daughter, and Shellman, 24, Malinowski said.
Shellman was charged with second-degree manslaughter. Tombs’ daughter was unharmed in the incident. The investigation is still active and ongoing.
