I could not actually believe this was real, but it is…
Playwright Katori Hall has accused Kent State University of perpetuating the “pervasive erasure of the black body and the silencing of a black community” by casting a white man as Martin Luther King in her play The Mountaintop.
In an essay for African American culture site The Root, she described the casting as “a disservice to not just Dr King but an entire community.”
The play reimagines Dr King’s last night before his assassination and requires two actors to play the part.
Actually Mr. Hall, the only community being silenced and erased in America right now is the White community. Aside from the fact that we can’t even proclaim we are proud to be White, there have been demands (some of which have been appeased) that our historical monuments, heroes, and even our identity be erased. Our people are deemed, as a whole, to be racists, and need to be abolished to end all the evil in the universe.
But anyway, let’s not get off track and focus on the Black feelings that were triggered which are more important then everything right now.
Blacks are not happy about this, as you can see on the Independent’s Facebook page comments section below their article post. Instead of you fishing around for it, I’ve decided to save you time and post some of the screen shots that I took.

The university production’s director, Michael Oatman, defended the decision to cast a white and a black actor however, telling The Guardian that the choice went “deeper than just casting a white man in the role of MLK.”
It was apparently intended to be provocative, with Oatman adding in a statement that was released in August to promote the play that he chose a white man “to explore the issue of racial ownership and authenticity”.
In regards as to why he picked a White man to play the role of the communist, drunkard who banged prostitutes the night before he was killed, he states:
“I didn’t want this to be a stunt, but a true exploration of King’s wish that we all be judged by the content of our character and not the color of our skin,”
But as you can see from the screen shots above, Blacks, along with some stupid Whites, don’t really care to live up to MLK’s standards which means not judging people by their color of their skin. In fact, the one thing Blacks and other anti-White morons love to do all day and night is cry “muh racism” and blame white people for everything.
And to no one’s surprise, Blacks are totally hypocritical. Not only have they stolen our fictional characters, but they have also played roles of real people in our history that were not Black.
After the hurt feelings, it seems that the playwrite had to take some sort of defensive measure to preserve his black history:
Following the debacle, Hall has added a clause in The Mountaintop’s licensing agreement stating that: “Both characters are intended to be played by actors who are African-American or Black. Any other casting choice requires the prior approval of the author.”
In other words, whitey is not welcome anymore and probably won’t get approved to play King because of the Black tears that would flow and make this more of a headache than it’s worth.
