Dr Matthew Raphael Johnson joins Matthew Heimbach for Friday’s edition of The Daily Traditionalist to discuss a recent article from the Left that criticises the Alt-Right for being overwhelmingly middle class. Matt thinks this is partially true, but what the Left is really afraid of is if we get the boots and the suits together. We need more upper middle-class people willing to put some money in and we need working class people who are not afraid to be out there on the streets. Because of the violence of the Left, they think they will be able to intimidate the Alt-Right into staying online.
Under the law we are able to defend ourselves, but if we rely on the police to do this for us, situations occur like the one that did at the NPI, where Emily Youcis was attacked and her cameraman hospitalised. The Left has maximum mobilisation on the streets, but we only have about 1% of our movement that is willing to take that risk. We need to be able to protect our people when they are out in public, we need our own security detail that can be relied upon to defend us.
Dr Johnson points out that we already have skinhead groups that identify with the Alt-Right and we should be making use of them to protect events like the NPI conference. Any real movement has to appeal to all classes and promote the interests of all classes. This is what Nationalism is, it is based on ethnicity not class. Our elites are the brightest people we have, not those who have the most money like the capitalist elites. It is not about education or money but about what they can contribute.
We need to be promoting our real elites and protecting them with our more working class organisations, that have been involved in Nationalism for a long time and have experience in dealing with violent situations.
