There is a philosophical question: does art imitate life or does life imitate art?
The obvious answer to this question is “both.”
But here’s a brain-squeezer: what if an artistic scene and a real life scene happen simultaneously?
Well, it’s happened. And reality hasn’t collapsed in on itself. Yet.
On Sunday night, a new episode of The Walking Dead aired. It featured characters leading zombies away from a “camp” down a road.
The same day, drone footage was released, showing Slovenian military officers leading “migrants” away from a “camp” down a road. The scenes were indistinguishable.
The goal of the group in the TWD episode was to lead the zombies away from their town. The goal of the Slovenia military was to lead the migrants out of the country.
This is truly an incredible thing. The exact same day. Obviously, the show was filmed months earlier. Yet it’s airing coincided directly with this Slovenia footage.
Before season six of TWD ever aired, I did a satirical article about Calais images being from the show.
I showed pictures like this:
And joked:
We are getting clues here that much of season six will focus on a convoy of trucks, probably moving supplies into the safe-zone, which Rick has to secure – but what will Rick do when his convoy of supply trucks gets filled up with walkers???
Then – and I hadn’t known this – the first episode this season showed the zombies breaking through semi-trucks.
It really goes to show just how fitting a metaphor the zombie apocalypse is for the migrant crisis, and brown immigration to White countries more generally.
I would even go further and assert that it is more than coincidence that TWD and other zombie-oriented entertainment is so popular in this time of migrant invasion. I believe that this is a manifestation of the collective unconscious of the White man. Immigration is the defining issue of our age, so it is hardly a surprise that pop culture would be reflecting this.
We all know – consciously or unconsciously – that there is a darkness upon us. A creeping, evil force which has come to overwhelm and destroy us.
And as this evil progresses, the darkness will indeed swallow entire parts of the formerly White world. We must ensure that the entirety of civilization does not fall.
