This British chick from the “Think Vegan” channel got the cops called on her and has had to shut down her channel until she can flee to America where she thinks people have free speech.
I don’t know what her videos were about – hopefully the channel title is ironic and she doesn’t actually support the worst diet program ever. I’m just learning about her now, but she says she was probably reported for “hate speech,” so presumably she was slamming the hajis.
But look – what sort of a situation is this? We talk about “free countries,” but a person has to flee the country so they can say things other people don’t like on the internet?
Meanwhile, in most third world countries you can do or say whatever the hell you want without anyone getting all up on your grill.
And hey – this is all stuff that you could have said even just a decade ago. But we’ve “progressed” toward less freedom.
We must ask: what kind of “progress” is defined by having less freedom?
Why would any person want to reduce freedom?
