Charlotte-Mecklenburg police arrested and charged three teenagers in Sunday’s robbery and assault of a 72-year-old woman in her west Charlotte home.
The woman suffered minor injuries when intruders entered her home in the 4200 block of Westcliff Drive at about 1:15 p.m., police said. Westcliff Drive is in CMPD’s Freedom division.
The assailants struck the woman while demanding money, and then drove off in the woman’s 2005 Nissan Altima, police said.
Police on Monday afternoon detained a 14-year-old male juvenile in the case.
On Monday night, police arrested Sylessa Desiree Ford, 17, and Myron Neam Bullock, 18, and charged them with attempted murder, armed robbery, conspiracy to commit armed robbery, kidnapping, and breaking and entering. Ford was jailed on a $115,000 bail and Bullock on an $85,000 bail.
The 14-year-old was charged with the same offenses and was transferred to a juvenile detention facility.
