Three suspects wanted in the beating death of a city man earlier this month turned themselves in to Scranton police Wednesday.
Aashon Blackwell, 25, turned himself in at Scranton Police Headquarters on Wednesday morning, Detective Sgt. James Pappas said. The other suspects, Rickey Lloyd, 29, and Kalvin Lloyd, 26, both of Scranton, turned themselves in around 10 p.m., Pappas said. Authorities filed charges against the men last week in relation to the death of James Savero, 37, of Scranton.
The charges came after the coroner’s office ruled Savero died as the result of head trauma and his manner of death was homicide. The injury stemmed from an assault during the early morning hours of June 3.
