UPDATE:
Shooter was identified.
Yep, it’s a Moslem.
Moreover, the total victim count has increased.
Canadian authorities identified the gunman who killed two people and injured 13 others in a lively Toronto neighborhood Sunday night as 29-year-old Faisal Hussain, whose family claimed had suffered from “severe mental health challenges” for his entire life.
Original article follows:
Someone shot up a Greek restaurant in Greektown in Toronto.
Of course, the identity of the shooter has not been announced.
But Canada hasn’t announced that they are ruling out terrorism.
And it sure looks like a Moslem on the CCTV.
Black beard.
Theoretically a Greek could have a black beard.
But why would he shoot up his own restaurant?
It probably was a Turk.
I’m betting.
Or just some other sort of Moslem.
So annoying that they don’t just tell you, huh?
Anyway, we’ll know in the next 24 hours and will inform you.
CNN:
A woman was killed and 13 others injured in a shooting in Toronto on Sunday night, Police Chief Mark Saunders said.
The suspect is also dead, Saunders said.
The shooting victims are being treated for their injuries and their conditions were not immediately known. But one of the victims — a young girl — is in critical condition, Saunders told reporters late Sunday.
Shots rang out shortly after 10 p.m. ET in the Toronto’s Greektown neighborhood.
…
It’s not clear what motivated the shooter, police said. They’re investigating “every possible motive, including terrorism,” Saunders said.
Toronto Mayor John Tory urged people not to draw any conclusions and let police investigate the shooting.
The shooter, who had a handgun, died from an apparent gunshot wound, but it’s not clear if it was self-inflicted or as a result of exchanging gunfire with police, Saunders told reporters.
A witness who was standing near the scene told CNN partner CTV that he heard about 20 shots and the sound of the weapon being reloaded repeatedly.
20 shots and repeated reloading?
Was it a revolver?
This could also be some other thing. Some personal vendetta of some kind. Who knows.
I just don’t really understand how it happened in Canada, since guns are illegal there. But I guess this guy must be a criminal, and he must have acquired the gun illegally.
Anyway, I’m sure the Toronto police chief is a capable man who will get to the bottom of –
Goddamn it.
