This sure was a doozy.

RT:

At least 36 people have been killed and over 140 injured in three blasts that rocked Istanbul’s Ataturk airport, according to Turkish officials. Foreigners could be among the dead.

The blasts occurred in the airport’s international arrivals terminal.

Turkish Prime Minister Binali Yildirim confirmed to the media that the death toll from the attacks has risen to 36, adding that foreigners could be among the victims. Five of those killed in the attacks were officers.

Another 147 people were injured in the blasts, Turkish Justice Minister Bekir Bozdag said.

Yildirim also stated that the attackers arrived at the airport by taxi and that initial findings point to Islamic State responsibility (IS, previously ISIS/ISIL) for the attacks.

“It showed once again that terrorism is a global threat and defeating it requires global cooperation. All early indications suggest that the IS was behind the atrocity, but the investigation is ongoing,” the Prime Minister said.

The attacks on the airport involved three suicide bombers, according to Yildirim. Investigation revealed that all three opened fire before detonating their explosive devices.

On Tuesday evening, three suicide bombers stormed the airport with assault weapons and opened fire before blowing themselves up. One of the attackers fired shots from an automatic rifle in the departures hall, according to Reuters. All three reportedly detonated their explosive devices around the arrivals hall.

Four armed men were reportedly seen running away from the terminal building after the explosions, according to Turkey’s NTV channel.

According to some Turkish media, the blasts targeted two separate locations in the airport.

The deadly blasts coincided with the second anniversary of the declaration of the so-called Caliphate by the terror group as well as the last week of the holy month of Ramadan, during which IS called for increased attacks.

Many people caught in the blasts and near the airport posted photos and videos from the scene, showing the destruction caused by the explosions as well as people hiding in various places in search of safety.

Here’s the CCTV video of Mohammad getting shot by cops before detonating himself.

Like anyone who’s traveled much, I’ve been through Ataturk multiple times. I recognize this corridor at international departures.

I had often noted how lax the security there was, making it absolutely ridiculous that American Negroid TSA harasses people to the degree they do, while if an Islamic terrorist wanted to bypass that, he could just fly in on an international flight from Turkey.

Though to be far, Brussels had this same thing happen, with presumably much better security.

When I have been there, it has been between 20% and 30% White people walking around in both arrivals and departures. This is mainly because Turkish airlines has very cheap connecting flights coming from the US to Europe, rather than because a lot of Whites want to visit Turkey. Turkish Airlines also connects Europe to East and Southeast Asia cheaply.

They have yet to announce the nationalities of those killed, though I’d suspect a good number of them will end up being White.

The wacky hypocrite and liar Erdogan – a terrorist leader and a lead funder of ISIS – is calling for an international war against terrorism.

I’d say there’s at least a 75% chance Erdogan was either aware the attack was going to happen and support it or actually planned it himself.

Is he calling for a war against himself?

Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan has condemned the violence and expressed hope that the bombing becomes “a turning point” for the whole world to unite against terrorism. Erdogan’s PM said initial findings indicate that ISIS bears responsibility.

I hope that the Ataturk Airport attack, especially in Western countries [and] all over the world, will be a milestone for the joint fight against terrorist organizations, a turning point,” he said.

Erdogan said the attacks, “which took place during the holy month of Ramadan, show that terrorism strikes with no regard for faith and values.”

It’s actually because they are religious that they struck during Ramadan.

He also expressed his condolences to the “citizens who lost their lives” and the entire nation.

“It is clear that this attack is not aimed at achieving any result but only to create propaganda material against our country using simply the blood and pain of innocent people,” he added.

Or, it’s aim was to make you and your terrorist state look like victims internationally, and also to rally people around you domestically.

The Turkish president also said that he expects the world, and especially Western countries, to demonstrate “a decisive stance” in the battle with terrorist organizations.

Turkey, in the meantime, will “continue the fight, despite the huge cost we are paying.”

Today’s bombs in Istanbul [have demonstrated] the treacherous nature of terrorism,” Erdogan said. “It could happen in any city in the world, in any airport.”

Well, that’s true.

But it sure is a lot better for you when it happens at your own airport, huh?

When it happens in Europe, it leads to scrutiny of these “migrants” Turkey is funneling into Europe, and generally negative sentiment towards Moslems. When it happens in Turkey, it can be twisted to mean “we’re all in this together,” and thus justify closer ties between Europe and Turkey, and even justify more migration.

Erdogan has extremely close ties to ISIS. Following this attack, he’s the first one who needs to be investigated.
