So the Virginia and New Jersey gubernatorial elections were losses. But a bigger loss, methinks, is the loss of our ability to say “our country has never had a tranny elected as a state senator.”

Danica Roem, a journalist turned public works advocate, has won Virginia’s 13th District House of Delegates seat, becoming the first openly transgender person elected and seated to a state legislature in the United States.
Roem beat out the district’s 26-year incumbent, conservative values and government transparency champion Bob Marshall.
The race attracted national attention as Marshall, a conservative who proposed a bill restricting which bathrooms transgender people could use, faced off against the transgender stepmother who plays in a metal band.
The district also found itself in the spotlight as one of a few Republican-governed areas that voted for Hillary Clinton in the 2016 presidential race.
“It’s historic,” Democratic House Caucus Chair Charniele Herring told The Associated Press. “It sends a message to politicians everywhere that the politics of bigotry is over.”
Or, you shitbag, the politics of bigotry are just about to get started.
People accepted the “do it in their own bedroom” faggot argument, but this tranny stuff is too weird.
