A trial for a man facing murder charges in connection with an April 2012 homicide is set to start Monday, June 1, according to court documents.

Travion Kirkland, 21, is accused of shooting 21-year-old Jesse Bowen and faces one count of murder, a charge that carries up to 65 years in prison if convicted.
