This is the kind of leadership we need – or is it?
When I learned that Trump was pushing for a torturer to be the next head of the CIA, I imagined something like this:
And I thought: BASED.
But then I learned it was actually a woman. So my mental picture changed to this:
Uh, okay, that’s still kinda cool, I guess.
Unfortunately, my fantasies were quickly crushed by cold, sobering reality:
We’ve just made a huge mistake.
Are we supposed to believe this bitch was tearing out Moslem fingernails? Because I sure as hell don’t believe it.
Well, I guess it might be true, I dunno.
Needless to say, I have a bad feeling about putting another childless cat lady in charge of anything.
[Note: Unless her name is Ann Coulter, that is.] [Note 2: There is no evidence that Ann Coulter has ever owned a cat afaik.]Gina Haspel, President Trump’s nominee to become the next CIA director, sought to withdraw her nomination Friday after some White House officials worried that her role in the interrogation of terrorist suspects could prevent her confirmation by the Senate, according to four senior U.S. officials.
Haspel told the White House she was interested in stepping aside if it avoided the spectacle of a brutal confirmation hearing on Wednesday and potential damage to the CIA’s reputation and her own, the officials said. She was summoned to the White House on Friday for a meeting on her history in the CIA’s controversial interrogation program — which employed techniques such as waterboarding that are widely seen as torture — and signaled that she was going to withdraw her nomination. She then returned to CIA headquarters, the officials said.
Wow, can’t even face the fact that she’s been torturing Hajis all these years. That’s definitely a bad start.
If she’d been like, “yeah I waterboarded those ragheads, you gonna cry?” I’d be feeling a lot better about her candidacy.
I mean, look at Crowder. He actually seems to be enjoying himself here. This doesn’t seem like very hardcore torture tbh.
Taken aback at her stance, senior White House aides, including legislative affairs head Marc Short and press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders, rushed to Langley, Va., to meet with Haspel at her office late Friday afternoon. Discussions stretched several hours, officials said, and the White House was not entirely sure she would stick with her nomination until Saturday afternoon, according to the officials who spoke on the condition of anonymity to discuss internal deliberations.
Are we really going to put up someone who can’t even take a little heat to be the director of our foreign intelligence service?
This is nuts.
Her flaking like that should have been an immediate red flag that she’s not cut out for the job. I mean, beyond the fact that she’s a woman, that is.
So, uh, is this guy still available for the job? Because I want this guy.
I don’t know anything about this man. But somebody needs to track him down and offer him the job.
