Trump’s waffling on Syria.

BBC:

US officials say President Trump has been persuaded not to pull the military out of Syria immediately, despite his declaration last week that the US would “be coming out of Syria very soon”.

Advisers reportedly convinced him that it could risk a resurgence by the Islamic State (IS) group.

The White House said on Wednesday the US military mission in Syria was coming to a “rapid end”.

But it has not announced a timetable for a full troop withdrawal.

A statement said IS was almost completely destroyed, and that the US would consult its allies regarding future plans.

A senior administration official told NBC News that the president had agreed at a meeting on Tuesday to keep troops in Syria for an undetermined period, but “wasn’t thrilled about it, to say the least”.

Funny. That’s what he said about the Omnibus Bill.

He wasn’t thrilled with it, but he passed it anyway. Interesting.

Will he do the same thing with Syria? Will he say, “I’m not thrilled with it, but we gotta commit troops?”

Some reports say that he wants it wrapped up in 6 months.

Washington Post:

At one stage, Dunford asked the President to state explicitly what he wanted to see happen in Syria, according to an administration official.

..

The President responded by saying US troops need to finish their mission against ISIS in Syria within six months, a timeline military officials — including Defense Secretary James Mattis — warned would be too short, according to the administration official. Trump responded by telling his team to just get it done.

But there have already been American casualties to pro-Assad militias.

Will another false flag gas attack or Assad’s troops attacking American troops trigger yet another Middle East war?

I think there’s a good chance the Deep State will try to make it happen.

Now, Trump did good with the whole border thing. It certainly looks like he’s NOT waffling on that. He’s sending national guard down there and the caravan has been stopped.

That’s fantastic.

But I’m wondering if he’s banking on caving to the Jews on foreign policy to allow himself wiggle room on domestic issues.  In terms of priorities, yes, the border wall is number one. But avoiding a war with Assad and possibly the Russians is a close second.

Let’s hope he doesn’t let the wrong people influence him – instead listening to us, like he did on the border.

He needs to know that the Israelis and even members of our own “deep state” can and probably will try to false flag him into continuing this quagmire.
