Twitter is ensuring that racist skin haters are denied access to a verified user account.
As we all know, Twitter has gone completely insane with thought censorship on their platform. The insanity is not ending either. They’re currently in the process of removing the verified status from people who they consider to be racist skin haters.
White nationalist Richard Spencer and Charlottesville white supremacist rally organizer Jason Kessler are among the Twitter accounts that have lost their verified status as the social media company changes up who’s entitled to the blue checkmark.
Twitter said Wednesday it was reviewing verified accounts with the goal of removing verification from accounts that violate its policies such as promoting hate speech or violence or harassing others. New guidelines say Twitter can remove verification “at any time without notice,” and it will consider behavior both on and off the social network.
The move follows public outcry over Twitter verifying Kessler’s account. The company says it has stopped verifying accounts while it overhauls the process.

So Twitter is saying that they can remove a user’s account verification for pretty much any reason they see fit. It can be removed for things you do offline or if you associate with a group they don’t like.
As expected, only right wingers and nationalists have been impacted by this policy change. Spencer and Kessler are just two of many people who had their verified status stripped away. Even that lying tire kike Laura Loomer had her verified status removed!

Account verification and the associated blue checkmark was originally designed to prove the identity of a user. It was not meant to be an endorsement of the individual or what that individual says. Twitter has opened the floodgates by abandoning their neutrality on this function. They’re basically admitting that they support any user on their platform who has a blue checkmark next to their name. There is no other way to interpret their policy. Especially when you look at how selective their verification removal has been.
This is no different than what Cloudflare and these domain registrars have done to the Daily Stormer. By selectively suspending services to the Daily Stormer, they effectively abandoned their neutrality and declared full support for all the content they service.
The silver lining to this is that it does give us an opening to demand that they remove verified status from many of our political enemies. We should absolutely try to do this. The more people who are angry at Twitter the better. This platform does not deserve a future considering how it is being managed.
