St. Mary’s detectives identified 21-year-old Alan Michael Rangel on Sunday afternoon as a man wanted on a charge of first-degree murder in the shooting death of a Sandgates area resident earlier this weekend at the scene of a house party in Mechanicsville.

Rangel, listed in online court records as a Lexington Park resident, was charged through a warrant with killing 21-year-old Cody Michael Lacey, according to detectives, who earlier arrested Demetrius Jose Burks-Jeffrey, 22, of Chaptico and Wade Joshua Braithwaite, 21, of Lexington Park on charges of charges of accessory after the fact to murder.
