Det. David Feucht suffered two gun shot wounds and is still in the hospital.

Officers arrested Lamarcus Antwon Jones Jr., 22, at his workplace in Fort Worth late Wednesday. They accused him of driving a vehicle used in the December 19 robbery of a Wells Fargo.

Jones’ alleged accomplice, Andre Jackson, Jr., held up a teller and walked out of the bank with stolen cash around noon, according to police. After getting a distress call from the bank, two plainclothes detectives tried to apprehend Jackson outside a nearby 7-Eleven on Renfro Street at Crowley Road Burleson Boulevard.

Police said Jackson, 19 and from Grand Prairie, shot Detective David Feucht multiple times. Detective Nick Grace took a bullet in the leg. At least one of the officers returned fire but missed.

Police have not released details of Jones’ connection to the bank heist, but have charged him with aggravated robbery.
