Do you feel in charge, commie scum?
Yesterday, we reported that the University of California cancelled Ann Coulter’s speech because they claimed it was “unsafe,” whatever that means.
Not one to let dirty lefties have the last laugh, Coulter decided to just go ahead and do it anyway.
As a result, they’re now caving in and reversing their previous decision – kind of.
Officials at the University of California at Berkeley on Thursday reversed their decision to cancel a speech by conservative firebrand Ann Coulter.
The university had announced Wednesday that it was canceling Coulter’s appearance following several political protests in Berkeley that turned violent.
But on Thursday, the university said it had found a venue where it could hold the speech on May 2, instead of the original April 27 date. However, a leader of the college Republican group that originally invited Coulter said the university was placing strict conditions on the event, and he said his group intended to reject the new terms.
This smells bad.
This is definitely a hoax.
Basically, the situation is almost certainly something like this: the university would prefer if Coulter doesn’t do her speech, but if they can’t prevent it, they want to make sure it gets disrupted by antifa scum. This is why they initially told her that the delay was “too short” – they need time to organize the protests and bus people in.
If the university was really concerned about security, then it would obviously be better to do the speech on short notice – because that would limit the antifa’s ability to organize.
So the reason why they reversed their decision was actually in order to maintain control over the timing and location of the event – it’s no coincidence that they want to push the date further.
It’s a trap.
Before the reversal was announced, Coulter had vowed to go ahead with an appearance anyway.
That probably would have put security officials on high alert and might have sparked another showdown in struggles over campus safety, student views and ideological openness.
“What are they going to do? Arrest me?” she said late Wednesday on the Fox News show “Tucker Carlson Tonight.”
Coulter said she “called their bluff” by agreeing to rules set by the university seeking to prevent violence.
Yeah, this reversal of their decisions is a hoax done in bad faith, and should rightfully be ignored. You can be sure they’ll find some obscure location to shove her into, and bus in some emergency supply of rioters with the extra couple of days they’re trying to buy themselves.
If I was Ann, I’d just go ahead and do the speech as planned. Actually, if I was Ann, I’d claim I’d do it as planned, and then just go ahead and do it the day before.
Gotta think outside the box.
