Police have released CCTV images in their hunt for a man who brutally attacked a woman with a broken bottle when she refused to dance with him at a Halesowen nightclub.
The woman’s mother intervened and was also struck with the jagged glass during the incident at Benjamin’s club on November 16.
Both women required stitches after suffering deep head wounds.
Detectives have also released shocking images of the younger woman’s injuries to help trigger memories of anyone who may have been at the venue.
The man took offence when the younger woman refused to dance with him.
He smashed the bottle he was holding and hit her over the head with it, and then her mother when she intervened.
Det Con Dave Hackett, from Force CID, said: “I am convinced that someone would have seen the incident and remembered this unprovoked attack on the dance floor of a busy club.
“I would also appeal to the friends of the attacker, whom I believe were present, and will have key information which can assist our investigation.
“This attack has been a life-changing event for the mum and her daughter and I would urge anyone who can help to contact us immediately.”
A 26-year-old man was arrested in December but released without charge.
