Michael Newberry
Sports and exercise simply are not safe. The heart is just a motor, see? The harder you work it, the closer it is to death.
If people want to live long lives, they need to remain as sedentary as possible, and try their damnedest to never get their heart rate up.
Sports and exercise are some of the biggest killers in the world and it has always been that way, forever, and that includes all of the time before 2021.
Former Newcastle defender Michael Newberry has died suddenly at the age of just 27, his club Cliftonville have confirmed.
Newberry only joined the Belfast-based club in the summer and his passing has rocked the country’s football leagues. He previously featured for Linfield in a successful three-year spell, winning two Irish Premiership titles.
Cliftonville and Linfield have both announced their games against Dungannon Swifts and Larne have been postponed respectively.
A Cliftonville statement read: “Our condolences are extended to Michael’s family and friends, as well as the many team-mates he played with during his career, and fans who will be shaken and saddened by this heartbreaking news. Rest in peace, Newbs.”
Football is a terrible and cruel sport, which requires the players to destroy their health with exercise.
How can we continue to allow this to happen?
