UK: Leftists’ Trump Balloon is a Big Flop, Gets Ridiculed on Social Media

Reality doesn’t always meet expectations…

Having been successfully crowdfunded to the tune of £30,000, the Trump baby balloon was unleashed on Parliament Square yesterday. This was supposed to be a big moment for British leftists; the Jewspapers had led them to believe that this inflatable rubber bag would dominate London’s skies like a massive orange Hindenburg, casting a shadow over the bigots that continue to defy George Soros’s will.

In the cold light of day, however, the balloon – whose size had been overstated through heavy emphasis on close-ups – revealed itself to be small, unimposing and, much like the people who gathered around it, rather pathetic.

Daily Mail:

A much vaunted baby Trump blimp which flew above Parliament ahead of thousands of protesters marching through the capital has been labelled a damp squib by social media.

Anti-Trump protesters stirred controversy with the 20ft high inflatable caricature, which depicted the leader as an angry infant wearing a nappy and clutching a mobile phone and floated among statues of revered world leaders including Mahatma Gandhi and Nelson Mandela.

While the president did not personally witness the blimp’s ascent, he did say it had made him ‘feel unwelcome’ in London.

A few hundred people gathered to watch the blimp launch in Parliament Square, with organisers of the stunt wearing red boiler suits and red baseball caps emblazoned with ‘TRUMP BABYSITTER’.

Seeing as the population of London exceeds 10 million people, I think we can all agree that “a few hundred supporters” constitutes a mega fail, especially for such a well-publicized event. And those supporters looked demonic, even by antifa standards:

Some great optics you’ve got going on there, leftists. I can see the UK’s Brexit-supporting majority really questioning whether they chose the right side.

After counting down from 10 to 1 a cheer went up as the large balloon rose to fly around 10 metres off the ground, next to parliament and the River Thames.

Speaking in Parliament Square, Jason Caines, 50, from Pimlico, central London, said of the Blimp: ‘It’s good. It needs to be done because he’s a bigot and a racist. He shouldn’t be president, it should have been Hillary Clinton.’

Argh, why did that guy have to be a Bong? That’s the perfect Le American Bear quote!

Fuck it, I’m doing it anyway:

London Mayor Sadiq Khan, who was criticised by Trump in the Sun interview for failing to control crime and prevent militant attacks, gave his blessing for the blimp to be flown and rejected suggestions this showed a lack of respect to the U.S. president.

‘The idea that we restrict freedom of speech, the right to assemble, the right to protest because somebody might be offended is a slippery slope,’ he told BBC radio, adding that a protest to welcome Trump was also planned.

Yeah, Sadiq authorized the balloon’s ascent because it was a “freedom of speech” issue. He actually said that without laughing, despite reigning over a nightmarish Orwellian metropolis in which British people are routinely hounded down and arrested for tweeting mean words about Paki rapists and child-abusing faggots.

Then again, he also said terrorism is part and parcel of living in a big city, so I guess he’s got that whole poker face thing down to a tee. It’s probably one of the first skills that UK politicians are taught to master before being launched into the national spotlight.

Although [Trump] may not be a fan of the blimp, it looks like it’ll be following him as he ventures to Scotland later this week.

Protesters are planning to transport the balloon to Scotland overnight to fly it at Trump’s Turnberry golf course, where he is set to play on Saturday, according to The Hill.

Police Scotland says, however, that protesters are not allowed to fly the balloon at the estate during the president’s visit.

Trump’s visit to Scotland will be very good for us. He is half-Scottish on his mother’s side, and I’m sure he won’t omit that detail when emphasizing the obvious cultural and ancestral links between the UK and US. Having a bunch of demon-possessed crazies descend upon the estate with their widely-ridiculed balloon in tow will make the right wing look even more sane than we already do.

So let’s hope the crazies do just that.

This UK visit has been non-stop winning, it really has.
