A 29-year-old Birmingham man has been charged with the murder of a young Redditch woman after an incident at an address in the town.

“We’d like to thank everyone who has come forward with information to assist our enquiry and also thank people from the Evesham Road area for the patience and support they have shown our officers as they have gone about their investigative work.

“I’d also like to take this opportunity to reassure local people that this appears to be a self-contained incident and that there is no reason for concern within the wider community.”
