A Birmingham police officer helped to run brothels where cocaine was supplied to customers, a court was told.

The sordid secret world of Pc Osman Iqbal emerged during the trial of his sister and brother-in-law and two other men at Warwick Crown Court.

Raheela Ali, her husband Nassar Ali, Fadil Hyseni, 31, from Harrow, Middlesex, and Ben Disha, 44, also from Harrow, have all pleaded not guilty to conspiring to manage or assist in the management of a brothel.

In addition Raheela, 44, and Nassar Ali, 50, both of Buxton Road, Ilford, have denied conspiring to launder the proceeds of a brothel.

They were charged with four other men and a woman, all from the West Midlands, who have pleaded guilty to the charges they face and are awaiting sentence.

Warwick Crown Court
Warwick Crown Court heard the details of how the Non-Whites were running a brothel providing cocaine as well as sex.

As well as Osman Iqbal, 36, who was a serving West Midlands Police officer, whose address cannot be given, were Talib Hussain, 33, of Douglas Avenue, Hodge Hill, Birmingham, his brothers Atif, 26, and Asri Hussain, 24, both of Silver Birch Close, Saltley, and Jennifer Williams, 31, of Furlong Lane, Cradley Heath.

All five have pleaded guilty at various hearings to conspiring to act or assist in the management of a brothel and possessing cocaine with intent to supply it.

In addition Iqbal, Talib Hussain and Atif Hussain have admitted being involved in the conspiracy to launder the proceeds from the brothel.

Prosecutor Stephen Linehan QC told the jury: “In the brothel cocaine was supplied to the customers and to the girls who worked there.

“It was an added attraction for men who wanted to go to use the brothel and, no doubt, an attraction for the girls who worked there.”
