A disabled man was left to die in the street after he was knocked out with a single punch during a petty row over him trying to get into a takeaway.
Keith Maden, 59, had been wanting a portion of chips after having two pints in his local pub but found the entrance to the shop blocked by teenager Jafar Ali, 19 and one of his friends.
During a furious exchange grandfather Mr Maden suggested Ali move out of the way but got the response: ‘Why should I fuck off? No, you fuck off, I’ll stand here if I want.’
The victim who had been left disabled by a stroke angrily protested and said Ali had an ‘attitude problem’.
Mr Maden was then wrongly accused of being drunk and told: ‘You’re fucking twisted’.
Ali later punched Mr Maden in the face and said ‘you deserved that’ as he lay motionless on the floor.
CCTV captured the tragedy with passersby tending to Mr Maden outside Dixy’s Chicken takeaway in Rochdale, Greater Manchester. He never regained consciousness and died in hospital the next day of catastrophic head injuries including a bleed on the brain and fractured skull.

Today at Minshull Crown Court, Manchester, Ali, now 20, wept as he was locked up for four and a half years having been found guilty of manslaughter at an earlier hearing.
