A sex pest doctor who groped nurses and attacked one in a rage has been ditched from his new job after the Record warned patients about him.
Satpal Singh Jabbal has left Stranraer Community Hospital after starting work there just last month.
We told how Jabbal was sacked and suspended from practice after attacking nurses at Wishaw General Hospital in Lanarkshire.
He groped victims as they cared for patients and attacked one nurse after she changed the channel on a TV he was watching. He threw coffee over her and grabbed her breast.
His offences came to light in 2009, and a disciplinary panel found him guilty of 28 counts of misconduct and suspended him from practice in 2012. He was cleared to resume work in December of that year.
Locals in Stranraer were furious when they learned Jabbal was working as a locum anaesthetist at their hospital.
Councillor Willie Scobie said there was “real shock and disappointment” in the community.
NHS Dumfries and Galloway said yesterday that Jabal was employed for a short period and had “completed his duties very satisfactorily”.
