A trained surgeon who beheaded his friend in a betting shop has been cleared of murder on the grounds of insanity.
Paranoid schizophrenic Hassan Mustafa, 35, used a knife to decapitate Khalid Yousef at a Paddy Power in Handsworth, Birmingham.
Mustafa then mutilated his 28-year-old former housemate’s face and one of his hands, Birmingham Crown court was told.

To be fair, Britain doesn’t have many options these days. The Paki Home Secretary is making it increasingly difficult for British medical practitioners to get jobs, even if those “British” practitioners are UK-born Indians, blacks, etc.
When forced to accept only the most vibrant of practitioners, paranoid schizophrenic black Moslems from Africa are the only choice you have left.
Well, other than literal witch doctors from the jungle. But since they lack any medical training at all, the UK government pushes most of them toward dentistry.
Mustafa, who sought political asylum in the UK in 2013, was originally charged with murder.
But jurors were invited to return a ‘special verdict’ of not guilty of murder by reason of insanity, if they believed Mustafa did not know what he was doing was wrong.
The court was told Mustafa, of Stratford Road, Sparkbrook, ‘believed he was killing a supernatural being rather than a human being’ as part of a competition.
CCTV played in court showed Mustafa attack Mr Yousef with a large bread knife inside the building.
When armed police arrived they saw his body slumped up against the customer door with Mustafa standing over him.
OI OI OI, aren’t bread knives illegal in the UK?

Anyway, in case you didn’t know, Birmingham is one seriously enriched city. In many respects it’s even worse off than London, since the center doesn’t need to maintain a superficial veneer of Britishness to continue raking in those tourism shekels.
Hence, it’s likely that the courtroom was filled with other colorfuls who sympathized with Mustafa’s motive. Like, after Mustafa told the jurors, “the man I killed was an evil spirit,” several of them probably nodded their heads in agreement and chose to get him off on “insanity.”
I can totally see that happening.
