UKIP Leader Resigns as Party That Already Accomplished Its Mission Dissolves

The sole purpose of UKIP was to give Nigel Farage a political vehicle to push for Brexit.

It worked.

The party no longer has any purpose.

If there is going to be a nationalist party in the UK now (and there should be), it should be some version of the BNP. I probably wouldn’t call it that, since the brand was so crushed in the last decade.

RT:

The UK Independence Party (UKIP) has been devastated in the general election, failing to win a single seat. Leader Paul Nuttall has resigned, sparking speculation of a Nigel Farage comeback.

News of the UKIP leader’s departure spread through social media from around 10.40am after the party gained just 2 percent of the vote nationally.

Stepping down, Nuttall said he is sure UKIP has a bright future as the “guard dogs of Brexit.”

The party reportedly plans to rebrand and elect a new leader soon. In the interim deputy leader Pete Whittle has stepped in.

UKIP fielded 377 candidates for the snap election, but if exit polls are correct they will fail to gain a single seat in the House of Commons. UKIP’s only MP, Douglas Carswell, defected back to the Conservatives in March.

Nuttall came third in Boston & Skegness where he was challenging Tory incumbent Matt Warmen.

The UKIP leader won 3,300 votes, significantly less than Labour and the Conservatives, which gained 10,700 and 27,270 respectively.

Earlier in the evening, Nuttall appeared to blame Prime Minister Theresa May for UKIP’s poor predictions and warned the result would put Brexit “in jeopardy.”

Neil Hamilton, UKIP’s leader in the Welsh Assembly, said the party’s vote has been “squeezed” as the election became a “binary competition between Labour and the Tories.”

However he was optimistic the party could “carve out a niche” in UK politics following what looks like a “disastrous election” for the Conservatives.

A party source added it was “wrong to think all UKIP voters would vote for May on Brexit, anti-establishment Corbyn more attractive for many.”

Yeah no shit – Corbyn would have put together a better Brexit plan, since he isn’t a globalist like Theresa “If I” May Jew You.

At worst, Corbyn would have collapsed everything. Which is a BETTER OUTCOME than any available with Theresa.

As far as Nigel Coming back to run rebranded UKIP – maybe that makes sense.

They built all the infrastructure of a political party.

I’ve really been liking Nigel’s recent attempts to meme internment camps for Moslems.

And yes, he is actually doing that.

Fox News had to apologize to their viewers after having him on calling for camps.

Katie Hopkins is also calling for internment camps… and also being denounced by Fox News.

This is a real meme.

These are serious people. You can say Hopkins is silly, but she’s on TV all the time. And Nigel is definitely no joke.

So I mean, they could rebrand it the “UK Internment Party” and keep the catchy acronym.

Joking aside (except that that wasn’t a joke and actually is a good name) – Nigel did one thing that people said couldn’t be done, so turning his attentions toward Islam and using the existing UKIP infrastructure as a vehicle for that is a very good idea.

He is a charismatic genius and should be focused on doing something important. I appreciate that after Brexit, he was focused on the Trump campaign, but that’s over as well now so he should be working on something else productive.

Apparently, if it were possible for him to just become a Tory and push to become PM, he would have done that already.
