Hollande came out with some stupid talk following the attacks. Something about how France is stronger than the terrorists – a statement which has no meaning.
Other world leaders came out with various stupid, meaningless statements along these same lines of “we shall prevail.”

This message is totally abstract, but not so abstract that it can be interpreted as being accurate. France is already defeated. They have no will to fight, or they would be demanding action against the people who are doing this to them. Instead, they want to lay down and die, to roll over and be conquered by Islam.
Valls was the only leader I’ve heard give an honest response to the attack.

Valls made the statement following the attack in Nice that killed at least 84 people and injured dozens.
“Times have changed, and France is going to have to live with terrorism, and we must face this together and show our collective sang-froid,” he said. “France is a great country and a great democracy and we will not allow ourselves to be destabilized.”
However, Valls’ assumption that “France-is-going-to-have-to-live-with-terrorism” hasn’t amused French social media, and possibly bolstered France’s reputation as a country that surrenders at the drop of a hat. Users are apparently livid, taking the PM’s remarks to mean that the French government doesn’t plan to take on the extremists, but simply call on its citizens to learn to live with the threat.
Of course it means that he doesn’t plan to take on “the extremists.” No one plans to do that because the concept doesn’t make any sense. Claiming that it is possible to stop random Moslems from driving over you with trucks is childlike and stupid.
It is obviously completely impossible to prevent this sort of thing if you have a population of Moslems living in your country. So, as no one in France is going to say “we need to remove the entire population of Moslems from France,” the only adult response is “we’re just going to have to get used to this.”
France already has martial law, they’re already bombing Syria. And neither of these measures works any better than the never-ending toddler-like plan to pray for it to stop.

France wants these Moslems living in their country on welfare, selling drugs and committing crimes. Because they are unwilling to rethink that, they’re just going to have to get used to getting randomly murdered on the streets.
