Venezuela Situation has Normalized, But the Fake President is Still on the Loose, Calling for a Government Overthrow

It looked like a full-on war was going to start in Venezuela yesterday. I was compulsively checking Trump’s Twitter for an announcement of a press conference at which he would declare he was sending in troops to help the fake president and his coup.

All he tweeted was this.

And then he made a threat against Cuba.

Mostly, the last 24 hours of Trump’s tweets have been a rampage against the firefighters union. He went on a weird retweet rampage.

It’s frustrating that he is trying to start this war of aggression against a random Third World country and doesn’t appear to be taking it very seriously.

Presently, things have now settled down in Venezuela. Maduro appears to be back in control of the situation. Sort of. He hasn’t arrested the fake president, presumably because he believes the US would invade if he did. So this guy is just going to be out there doing this every day, until eventually there are enough dead bodies that the American media is able to build up enough energy that Trump can announce an invasion in the name of human rights and democracy.

They will probably stage some kind of atrocity hoax here in the next few days, such as sending in a Mossad sniper to shoot into a crowd and then claim Maduro decided to start randomly assassinating protesters because he hates freedom just that much.

I wish that when the US went to overthrow other countries, they just said “we are the most powerful country on earth, and we decide who rules.”

“Oh well you’re not a real government, this is objective truth because we created a new reality where everything we say is true; we are going to overthrow your government because we are the eternal guardians of human rights” is just so gay.

And it isn’t real. Everyone knows it’s a lie. But everyone agrees to play pretend.

Juan Guaidó has appealed for his supporters to take to the streets of Venezuela again on Wednesday, after a day of violent clashes on Tuesday.

President Nicolás Maduro, whom the opposition leader is trying to unseat, remains defiant despite the protests.

This language is so Orwellian.

He is a revolutionary backed by foreign powers attempting to overthrow the government.

In a television address he described Mr Guaidó’s supporters as a “small group” whose plan had failed.

Meanwhile, the US administration alleges Mr Maduro had been ready to travel to Cuba to escape the unrest.

“They had an airplane on the tarmac. He was ready to leave this morning [Tuesday], as we understand it. Russians indicated he should stay,” US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo told CNN, without offering evidence.

At least the BBC will say “without offering evidence.”

The US media just reports everything Mike Pompeo says as absolute fact. He’s the only Trump administration official they do that with, of course.

Pompeo attacked the Russians, which Trump didn’t do. It is notable that he pointed at Cuba in his tweets and didn’t mention Russia.

Senior US officials also claimed three prominent figures in Mr Maduro’s government had agreed the president had to go, but later backtracked.

US National Security Advisor John Bolton said those figures allegedly included Defence Secretary Vladimir Padrino – who has since reaffirmed his support and appeared alongside Mr Maduro in his televised address.

Sitting alongside military commanders, Mr Maduro vowed he would be victorious in the face of what he called a coup attempt backed by US imperialism.

He also said events of Tuesday would “not go unpunished”.

“[Prosecutors] will launch criminal prosecutions for the serious crimes that have been committed against the constitution, the rule of law and the right to peace,” he said in his speech.

Meanwhile, Mr Guaidó has renewed his calls for Venezuelans to take to the streets to complete what he has said is the “final phase” of his effort to oust Mr Maduro.

They’ve also corrected the US media’s claims yesterday that much of the military was siding with the fake president.

Because now that nothing happened, they can’t keep making that claim.

Despite Mr Guaidó’s calls, it appeared most of the military stayed on the side of Mr Maduro during the clashes.

There were running clashes between Mr Guaidó’s supporters and armed military vehicles throughout the day.

Protesters were also seen throwing rocks, but being repelled by tear gas and water cannon. At one stage a military vehicle was captured on video appearing to drive into protesters.

Mr Guaidó, the president of the opposition-controlled National Assembly, has been calling on Venezuela’s military to back him ever since he declared himself interim president in January.

He argues that President Maduro is a “usurper” because he was re-elected in polls that had been widely disputed.

Disputed by who?

The entirety of the American media disputed the 2016 election, and it turned out to be a gigantic hoax and a conspiracy.

I just can’t process how anyone can take any of this seriously anymore.

We really do need to go back to the NPC meme.

I had meant to write more about that. Because it is clear that an actual human being could not be a supporter of an invasion of Venezuela, unless they stood to profit from it financially, which is not true of most Americans.

I certainly do not know anyone who is going to profit financially from a US invasion of Venezuela.

Anyway – no one died yesterday. There was shooting, but they failed to bait Maduro into shooting anyone in the coup mob. So the next step is a false flag.

I think it will happen in seven days, max. They wouldn’t have escalated things like they did yesterday unless they were ready to get this show on the road.
