A thug carried out a vicious attack on a pensioner which left her with bruising so severe it resembled a beard, a court heard.
Patricia Beckford suffered a fractured eye socket and her jaw was broken in two places in the savage and unprovoked assault by 23-year-old Kyrone Joseph.
The 75-year-old had been out shopping when she was set upon by the hooded thug in East Ham, east London, on May 16, last year.
Joseph had knocked the elderly victim off her mobility scooter and began raining down punches on her head.
Mrs Beckford, who was left with severe bruising and swelling around her face and neck, has felt too scared to leave her home ever since.
