Suspect has been identified.
The man suspected of mowing down a crowd exiting Ramadan prayers at a London mosque early Monday has been identified as 47-year-old Darren Osborne of Cardiff, Wales, sources told Sky News.
At least one person was killed and 10 others were injured in the assault, which authorities were treating as a terrorist attack.
Osborne, reportedly a father of four, was arrested on suspicion of terror offenses in the collision with pedestrians outside the Muslim Welfare House, Metropolitan Police said. People at the scene shouted at him: “Why did you do that? Why?”
“This man was not known to authorities in the space of extremism or far-right extremism,” Ben Wallace, Britain’s minister for security, told Sky News.
The incident occurred outside the Finsbury Park Mosque shortly after midnight after Ramadan prayers. Police said all of the injured were members of the Muslim community. Muslim leaders decried the collision as a hate crime and asked the public to stay calm.
So what would drive a father of four to drive a truck over a bunch of Islamic cockroaches?

Hours after a white van slammed into a crowd outside the Finsbury Park mosque in London, we look at a suspect detained by police and the details of his arrest.
A video that emerged from Finsbury Park, London shows a white man near a police van. The man seemed extremely nervous, to the point of shaking.
The Metropolitan police have confirmed that the driver of the van that rammed into a crowd of people is a 48-year-old man.
Prime Minister Theresa May confirmed during her official address on the incident that the man had acted alone.
After that she went to the mosque where it happened and brought some Jew lol.
He was detained by members of the public at the scene and then arrested by police in connection with the incident.
Police also said in a statement that the attacker was taken to the hospital as a precaution, and will be taken into custody once discharged.
Neither the identity of the man nor his motives have been revealed so far. No other suspects at the scene have been identified or reported to the police, but the investigation continues.
Eyewitness Abdulrahman Saleh Alamoudi, who got the suspect on the ground and held him, told BuzzFeed that the man “was screaming ‘I’m gonna kill all Muslims.’”
I’m honestly not even sure what they’re able to say about this.
I mean, sure, running people over is against the law.
But it’s like… how could they expect that some white guy wouldn’t eventually get pissed off and do this?
And now that he’s done it, how do they make an argument against it beyond “running people over is bad,” without looking like complete hypocrites in such an obvious way that everyone can see it?
The reactionary response of the media is going to be: “SEE WHITES ARE JUST EXACTLY THE SAME AS MOSLEM TERRORISTS BECAUSE TERRORISTS HAVE NO RELIGION.”
That’s just complete nihilism – “people do things randomly, or maybe because they are evil… there isn’t really any pattern to any of it.”
But there is no white man on the planet who isn’t at least a little bit sympathetic here. In some cosmic sense, this could be viewed as a form of self defense. It is now every single day that these people are killing us. While Theresa was at the mosque today meeting with the “victims,” a Moslem in France was ramming cops with a car full of explosives.
Someone was bound to snap eventually.
The event itself is unspectacular.
The interesting question is: will the media be able to resist trying to use this to push the “whites are uniquely evil” narrative they are so fond of?
Think about this.
It is actually easier to push the narrative of:
Yes, Moslems running people over with trucks is bad, but what’s worse is white people who post about it on the internet.
Than it is to push the narrative of:
Yes, Moslems running people over with trucks is bad, but what is worse is when white people run people over with trucks.
Even though the first one makes zero sense, because they are comparing two different things, it confuses people. When they’re comparing the exact same thing, there is no room for confusion.
The other argument:
You see, white people are just as bad as Moslems.
Cannot be used, as Moslems aren’t supposed to be bad. It is supposed to be a few bad apple Moslems, while whites as a whole are evil.
And the fact that it is a revenge attack means that the Moslems themselves were responsible.
But you also can’t say:
We can’t sink to their level.
Because that also implies that Moslems are at some level.
So I think the reactionary response of “see, everyone runs people over with trucks sometimes” is going to be what they’re going to go with, and just try to leave it at that.
Theresa and Sadiq already framed it as “just another terrorist attack.”
The Jew media would do well to tread carefully here. Because if they do try and push the “whites are uniquely evil” narrative here, it could really end up backfiring badly.
