A Hixson family is thanking a good Samaritan for helping police catch two suspects that stole a TV from their home.
A Bill Owens Heating and Air employee spotted the duo lifting the television, Tuesday afternoon, and followed them until police could pursue.
Red Bank Police chased the suspects until they wrecked on Highway 27 near Mountain Creek Road. One suspect was taken into custody on the scene. K-9 units assisted in locating the second suspect.
The family says they’re touched by the witness’ kindness.
Monica Boles, burglary victim, “He absolutely went above and beyond, this time is not how I grew up you don’t really have people helping each other most people don’t even know who their neighbors are and for someone to just take it upon themselves to help us out.”
The Boles family plans to thank Shane Johnson, the good Samaritan, in person Wednesday.
The suspects, Edward Moore and Deonta Ford, were charged with theft and aggravated burglary.
