How could she have known this Black BF would murder her?
He was a good boy, going to church, turning his life around.
KDKA:
Pittsburgh Police have made an arrest for a fatal stabbing that happened in Carrick on Saturday.
With assistance from the Monessen Police, Pittsburgh Police arrested 25-year-old Dejuan Onza Windom in relation to the fatal stabbing of 28-year-old Margaret Recasens. Windom is being charged with criminal homicide.
The victim’s mother says her daughter recently relocated to get away from her abusive boyfriend.
Friday would have been Recasens 29th birthday. Rather than celebrating, her mother is mourning the loss of her only daughter.
“I’m not doing so great,” said Catherine Heinzelman. “I lost my daughter. She was the best part of my life.”
According to court papers, Recasens was stabbed three times last Saturday morning in Carrick – twice in the chest and once in the back. She was found bleeding, lying on the sidewalk in front of Anthony’s Pizza on Brownsville Road.
Windom, Recasens ex-boyfriend, was arrested Thursday and charged with criminal homicide. Police used surveillance video and a witness to identify Windom as the suspect.
“She had a hard life,” said Heinzelman.“She was out there, but doesn’t give the right to be murdered. Very good girl.”
An unidentified witness told police that Windom requested a ride to Carrick last Friday night from Monessesn, to go see his girlfriend. The witness said Windom, also known as “Weez,” told the witness to pick him up 30-45 minutes after dropping him off.
The witness said after picking him up, he appeared nervous and said, ‘If you say anything about me being in Pittsburgh, you will be sorry.’
Recasens’s mother says she grieves for her daughter’s four children.
