William Wallace made a panicked phone call to his dad days before he plunged from the second floor.
He was “absolutely terrified” and said someone – possibly the “Turkish mafia”– was after him.
William, 35, had been taken to the hospital in Izmir after he broke his leg jumping out of a moving taxi on the way to the airport to fly back to Scotland.
The electrician died a week after suffering head injuries in the window fall.
His dad William snr, of Dundee , said: “I got a call from him. He was absolutely terrified and told me people were after him and he didn’t know whether he’d make it back home.
“I don’t know how much of it was real but he was using words like Turkish Mafia.
