man is behind bars, accused of stabbing two sisters in Louisville for a bachelorette party. One of the victims is the bride-to-be.
The sisters are recovering at U of L Hospital. Their father says they are in pain, but overall in good spirits.
This man police believe is responsible for the stabbings is 45-year-old Kalief Cummings. Cummings was arrested around 2 a.m. today and is charged with two counts of first degree assault. Police believe he stabbed the women near S. 3rd Street and W. Liberty Street.
The victims are 21-year-old Melissa Snader and 27-year-old Sherrie Snader. Sherrie is the bride-to-be.
Their father, Richard Snader, says the group spent the night at Fourth Street before returning to the Econo Lodge. Part of the group was on the way to get something to eat when the stabbings occurred.
Both have punctured lungs.
He calls the crime ‘sick.’
