Monica Jeter had been beaten up and was bleeding profusely from stab wounds when she was found by Police.

The woman who was allegedly attacked by her husband in North College Hill in early October has died, a police officer from North College Hill confirmed.

No additional details about the death were immediately available. Police Chief John Ferguson will address the media with updated information on Monday, a police officer said.

According to police, a 12-year-old girl called 911 at 4:21 a.m. on Oct. 8 to report that the victim, Monica Jeter, was hurt.

“My dad hit my mom and she’s bleeding lots,” said the girl in the 911 call.

“She’s just laying there. She’s bloody everywhere. She can hardly breathe. She just said that. He’s done this before and he went to jail before.”

When police arrived to the home in the 1400 block of Foxwood, they found Jeter suffering from possible life-threatening injuries. She was taken immediately to the hospital to undergo surgery.
