A call for witnesses on Emmen’s Facebook-Site made racists appear on the scene. The municipality had to block the commentary function, the judiciary is checking for racial discrimination.
On the 21st of July a man has dragged a young woman from her bike and raped her brutally. The woman got injured so hard so that she, according to an article from the “Luzerner Zeitung” is paralyzed from the neck down.
The municipality of Emmen thereupon has released the call for witnesses from the police on their Facebook-Site. That apparently has led to such malicious comments, that this function had to be blocked.
According to a report from the SRF, the municipal administration now demanded for the prosecution. They’re checking now if they should initiate an investigation for racial discrimination.
