Police have identified the alleged armed robber who was shot by a clerk at a Circle K Monday while allegedly attempting to rob the store.
Police say the suspect is 23-year-old Ferron Mendez.Mendez tried to rob the Circle K store at Eubank and Candelaria when the clerk opened fire, APD Public Information Officer Tanner Tixier said. Mendez was taken to UNM Hospital in critical condition after receiving a gunshot wound to the torso.
