As astute readers are aware, I am extremely critical of the white nationalist LARP subculture that formed around the TV show “Vikings.”
For several years, I had noticed that neo-Nazis with viking and/or Norse related names and avatars had become ubiquitous in white nationalist online communities, and that they were generally absurd. They pretended to be very hardcore (on the internet) and talked about Norse paganism. Most notably, they were incel feminist perverts, and believed in something called “shield maidens,” promoting the extremist feminist concept that women are physically as strong as men.
I didn’t understand what any of this was about, but simply began to cringe as soon as I saw a viking name or avatar.
Then I saw the show.
My disgust intensified.
However, apparently even internet neo-Nazis need some kind of entertainment media to tie their identities to.
Preferably, everyone could just use anime like most internet Nazis.
However, if there is a need to use a live-action British TV show – why not Peaky Blinders?
Let me list off the pluses of such a plan:
- There are no empowered women or goofy pseudoscientific concepts of female physical strength
- There is no LARP religion, people are either Christian, lapsed Christian or atheist
- The men are not pussies who bow to women
- The men have great haircuts
- The plot is better
- The men are very well dressed
- They kill communists
- The characters are Irish and English, which is closer to American identity than Norse vikings
- They kill Jews instead of Christians
- The show is better
- The main character is more alpha and kills Jews
I don’t know why this hasn’t already happened.
It may simply be that there are a certain number of internet Nazis that are natural feminists, so they needed a TV show to confirm their bias, to give them some idiotic fantasy that before Christianity, women were empowered. Even though vikings were raping all the women they could find.
Who knows.
I don’t know.
But seriously: it would be much better if we were doing Peaky Blinders and not The Vikings.
