A Randolph man convicted of child rape for the second time has been sentenced to life in prison.

William “Frank” Andrade was convicted Wednesday by a Suffolk Superior Court jury of three counts of rape of a child and five counts of indecent assault and battery on a child.

At a second set of proceedings Thursday, Judge Elizabeth Fahey found that he was the same person convicted of rape of a child in 1992, a crime for which he was sentenced to seven to 10 years in prison.

At the request of prosecutors, Fahey sentenced Andrade to life in prison with a concurrent 20- to 25-year prison term, followed by lifetime probation if he’s paroled.

Authorities say the 57-year-old Andrade assaulted a friend’s daughter when she was between 11 and 13.
